A Simple Preparation of Adhesive Water-soluble Chitosan using Catechol-Modification

We described a facile modification method to synthesize water soluble CHI-C. The resulting CHI-C was readily soluble at pH above which CHI is insoluble, and had viable adhesion toward catechol-reactive material. CHI-C is expected to be applicable in a wide range of areas such as surface modification, drug delivery, tissue engineering, and tissue adhesives.
