Good water-soluble and functionalized LaPO_4:Ce,Tb NPs were synthesized facilely without further modification, and then the NPs were used as the donor to establish a LRET system with nanogpld as the acceptor for the determination of cytochrome c. The developed LRET-based method is simple and sensitive.
