Mg-Zn-Y alloys with LPSO phase were investigated. Both of Mg_(97)Zn_1Y_2 and Mg_(96.83)Zn_1Y_2Zr_(0.17) alloys were composed of a-Mg and LPSO phase. For the cast alloy, Mg_(96.83)Zn_1Y_2Zr_(0.17) alloy has the optimal mechanical property and corrosion behavior. The extrusion treatment further improved the mechanical properties and corrosion resistant.
