An in situ AHA gel was achieved using acrylate-grafted HA and 4arm PEG-SH crosslinker. AHA gels prepared with high degree of acrylation and concentration were formed in less than 5 min. hBMSC exposed to AHA solution with low degree of acrylation and concentration were highly viable after 24 h. Gene delivery efficacy in AHA gels will be assessed for its potential in osteochondral repair.
