摘要

The performance of steel-wood composite structures is superior, which can make full use of the timber structures' advantages of light-weight, environmental protection and energy saving and so on, and the steel structures' advantages of high strength and high reuse probability. And they have broad prospect of application in bridge not only in foreign countries but also at home. But in fact, there are less application examples in our country at present. This paper is devoting to introduce this new type of bridge and solve the problem that the domestic research of steel-wood composite bridges is far behind from other countries, and the traditional connections between steel and wood are inconvenient that often cannot perform well. At the same time, it will make up the blank of domestic studies for steelwood composite structures. Drawing on the experiences of other countries, it introduces the advantage of steel-wood composite bridge, and the finite element analysis was done by Midas/civil, too. What's more, some new forms of steel-wood connections that would be available in China are also presented. Concentrating in one of the connections, it summarized its carrying capacity and anti-fatigue performance. The results show that: the steel-wood composite bridge is superior in mechanical behavior and convenient in construction and maintenance stage; the carrying capacity of parallel to grain and horizontal to grain and withdrawal force are all high; and the fatigue performance is more excellent than steel-concrete bridges.
