@@Rigid ployurethane foam (RPUF) has wide range of applications in building materials, refrigeration and petrochemical industry as thermal insulation material, due to their desirable properties such as low density, good mechanical strength, excllent thermal insulation properties and chemical resistance. Generally, a significant fire safety concern on widely application of RPUF is their high toxicity of fire effluents It is well known that in the case of fire, most of deaths and fire injuries result from inhalation of toxic fire effluents. Many techeniques are being used to characterize the toxicity and composition of fire effluents. The heat release and smoke production of materials can be studied by cone calorimeter (CC), the concentration of fire gases can be examined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTER).
