PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing generation apparatus and a timing generation method for a Fourier transform (FT) type spectrometer, capable of reducing generation of false spectra, and to provide the FT type spectrometer and FT type spectroscopy using the timing generation apparatus and method.;SOLUTION: The timing generation apparatus for the FT type spectrometer is used for an FT type spectrometer D for obtaining a plurality of measurement data by sampling a signal obtained by photoelectrically converting interference light of light to be measured, generated by an interferometer 11, at predetermined sampling timing and finding out a spectrum of the light to be measured by using Fourier transform on the basis of an interferogram of the light to be measured by the plurality of obtained measurement data to generate the sampling timing.
