It is well known that the work function of W(100) surface is reduced when the surface is modified by transition metal oxide. In this research, we measured the work function of W(100) modified by neodymium oxide by using PEEM (photoemission electron microscope) and FEM (field emittion microscope). Two resultant values were in fairly good agreement.
