Aimed to improve the stability and sustainability, maintenance assessment evaluates the running status of highway electromechanical system by use of scientific and reasonable evaluation method. Plenty of complex components, such as different divisions with specific technical criteria, form a multi-criteria, multi-level evaluation system. Different from completion acceptance assessment, there is ambiguity in qualified judgment of maintenance assessment. FAHP (fuzzy analytical hierarchy process) introduced in this paper is applied in maintenance assessment of highway electromechanical system, which is based on the research of AHP (analytic hierarchy process) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. This evaluation method can quantify qualitative criteria with Delphi method, determine subordinate degree by triangle function, set weight matrix by AHP, and establish hierarchy fuzzy evaluation model with judgment matrix. At the end, the assessment result is normalized. To resolve the contradiction and complexity of maintenance assessment, this paper applies FAHP which combines both qualitative and quantitative criteria with typical cases.
