A structure to build up a Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure which issuitable for nowadays China's national conditions has been proposed. Itis based on the IEEE 802.11n infrastructure and ad-hoc networktechnology with the assistance of China Telecom CDMA 2000 3G cellularnetwork technology. The advantages of utilizing these technologiesattribute to the OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)andMIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output)application. The availability ofthe new Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure structure has been verifiedby three scenarios experiments, namely CDMA 2000 network scenario,IEEE 802.11n infrastructure network scenario and ad-hoc networkscenario. Many factors, like the mobile speed, distance between wirelessdevices, access mode which may influence the communication qualityhave been discussed. And several applications of this system have beenintroduced. More works to be finished in the near future are listed at theend.
