Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) data can be defined as a combination of time-series inputparameters (i.e. traffic and environmental loading) and output responses (i.e. deflection and permanentdeformation data). Analysis of the APT data through time-series techniques can potentially assist in identifyingthe effect that input parameters have on the measured output responses. In this paper a specific time-seriesanalysis technique (Vector Auto Regression) is used to evaluate the influence of temperature and climate on theLoad Transfer Efficiency (LTE) across cracks and joints of Ultra Thin Reinforced Concrete Pavement type(UTRCP). UTRCP sections were built on two different sub-bases with the same mix design and subsequentlyevaluated using a Heavy Vehicle Simulator. The aim of these tests was to evaluate a low cost alternative for theupgrading of unsurfaced roads. The results obtained suggested that LTE was not a good measure of structuraldeterioration, while the deflection around a crack played a significant role. Water and temperature also played asignificant role determining the structural life of UTRCP roads.
