With the innovation of cell technology, the conversion efficiency is also continuously improved, but at this same time, it also brings the new degradation Issues. One of the damage modes concerned in Czochralski p-type monocrystalline PERC solar cells is light-induced degradation (LID). The mechanism of LID is shown to be highly related to the formation of B-O complexes, which will lead to approximately 4-6% reduction of power output for PERC cells. Another one is light- and elevated temperature-induced degradation (LeTID). Thus, the evaluation of LID and LeTID become an urgent issue to be solved for solar industries.
