STUDY FOR SPEED MANAGEMENT OF G324 NATIONAL HIGHWAY

Speed limit is an important factor to enhance the overall safety and efficiency of the nationalhighway system. The purpose of the paper is to produce a speed management program fornational highway G324 in Guangdong by investigation the status of speed, harmonizing thebenefits of many related parts, resolving social conflicts, which can not only improve trafficefficiency and capacity of G324, but also promote service level to ensure people’s safe andconvenient travel. The paper discussed the distribution of spot speed, analyzed theinfluence factors of speed and safety, and then build model to bring forward the plan of postspeed.
