The Russian Federation, through the Russian International Nuclear Safety Center, and the United States, through the U.S. International Nuclear Safety Center, are collaborating on a joint project for advanced structural analysis aimed at improving, verifying and validating structural analysis computer codes used for the assessment of structural integrity of Russian and U.S. nuclear power plants. This paper present the results of the work performed on strength calculations of pipeline systems. This paper describes three Russian-developed computer codes (CANPIPE, TP-95PC and dPIPE) that have been used to determine the structural integrity of piping systems. Nine benchmark problems were identified for code verification/ validation. Detailed results for one of the problems are presented here.
