Irradiated material properties are key factors to determine the service life of nuclear graphite inside HTR. When a selected graphite block is analyzed and evaluated numerically, the uncertainty of irradiated graphite properties has to be taken into account because experimental data of irradiated nuclear graphite are either well scattered or very limited, e.g., the scattered data points of irradiation-induced dimensional changes under various temperatures and limited data points of irradiation-induced creep. In this paper, the sensitivity of irradiation-induced stress in nuclear graphite to various types of material data changes is studied numerically in order to have a deep understanding of graphite behaviors during the time of reactor operation. The numerical examples show that small changes of certain material parameters may strongly affect the stress results.
