For the subjectivity in weight evaluation which is in the methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process, Factor Analysis, Fuzzy Cluster Analysis, etc widely used during the evaluation of manufacturing enterprises' core competitiveness, the catastrophe progression method (CPM) is introduced into evaluating the ability. The paper makes the sifted index screening of the core competitiveness evaluation of manufacturing enterprises by using the combination of experience determination method and grey statistic method and it also decides the six categories and including seventeen indexes: getting resource-gotten ability, manufacturing ability, management ability, innovation ability, marketing ability and enterprise culture. This paper constructs the core competitiveness evaluation model of manufacturing enterprise by using CPM and then makes an empirical research. Empirical results show that this combined method is proved to be effective in the evaluation of manufacturing enterprises' core competitiveness.
