CEO CHARACTERISTICS ON COMPANY'S PERFORMANCE

摘要

In order to find and test the relationship between CEO's characteristics and the performance of the company,this thesis test the data of sample which is extracted from the last 4 years Chinese capital market The sample covers the machinery industry and biopharmaceutical industry. The writers collected 146 listed companies' data. After testing the regression analyses we find that functional experience of CEOs have no impact on company's performance. We also find that CEO owning stocks in the company is positively associated with the company's ROE (return on equity),while but the result is obscure for MVA (market value added). We find the relationship between functional experience of CEOs and the ratio of operating profit on the whole profit cannot be explained,but the ratio is positively correlated to the company's ROE. This result is important for the listed company's corporate governance. How to put CEO's interest and the company's interest together is an important topic for the corporate governance and the organization management
