Rotor mass-unbalance fault Is one of the most common faults of turbo-generator unit. Especially for 1000MVV DSC units, because of its complex structure of rotor and the larger number of bearings, the rotor has suffered much more various disturbances. On the other hand, such features as long shaft and the relatively lower shaft support stiffness make the vibration of the shaft much more sensitive to massunbalance. Therefore, although the machining quality of rotor, assembly precision and the maintenance quality of power plant have been improved, the rotor mass-unbalance force is still a main cause of vibration of 1000 MW USC unit. Based on this, this paper analyses the mechanism of vibration caused by rotor mass-unbalance and its characteristics theoretically firstly, and then introduces a novel dynamic method, called once-add method and its engineering application.
