Analysis of knowledge map for the relationship between innovation and knowledge creation

This paper tried to use visualizing tools to show the citation analysis field clearly. We selected “knowledge creation” and “innovation” as search words and 248 records of articles and reviews in 1998–2011 was retrieved from the Web of Science. Then we got the knowledge maps by studying the dataset with RCA (Reference Co-Citation Analysis) and CA (Cluster Analysis). These maps could reflect the development trend of the research about the relationship of innovation and knowledge creation. Results shown, the theory of knowledge creation provides a unique research perspective for innovation; Knowledge management and Product development were the research focus; the conversion of knowledge has a significant effect on technological innovation.
