Enjoy Your Shadows Practice on Human Computer Interaction

摘要

This paper presents an interactive video installation named Enjoy Your Shadows!, which is dedicated to exploring the application of natural interface in multimedia information processing and discovers a variety of ways on interaction trigger. The impressive new media project allows participants to communicate and play with their own shadows in real time and the installation consists of multiple devices, such as screen, camera, video projector and computer. A program developed by Max/MSP/Jitter analyzes and processes the images, and it can also triggers the starting of the interaction, controls the whole installation and shows the feedback. During the performance, participants are invited to redefine the relationship of human body and their shadows. This project is a successful practice on Human Computer Interaction and can give inspiration to future multimedia projects.
