An important auxiliary method is presented in order to research the dynamical response and local injury mechanism caused by vehicle collision inner boxsection structure making up a new double-decked continuous box girdet,highway bridge which has a broad application prospect. By means of the software LS-DYNA,a collision analysis model of vehicle and bridge is developed to simulate a car oblique crash onto web barrier inner box under various cases. Energy transfer in the collision process,stress distribution of box,as well as the influences of impact speed and oblique angle are analyzed. The time history curves of collision force for different cases are also described. These are difficult to achieve in a collision test inner box of scaled model and observe on the bridge spot.
