Two modified direct data domain (DDD or D3LS) algorithms , subarray based D3LS and weighted D3LS, are proposed. The modified D3LS are obtained based on the original D3LS to overcome the drawbacks such as aperture loss and high sidelobe level. Firstly, the subarray based D3LS obtain large aperture extension by making use of the small subarray number. Then the weighted D3LS suppresses the sidelobe level within a certain value by a constrained fashion? The modified algorithms can be combined together. Some numerical simulations are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms and their combinations.
