The polygon action is investigated and the dual meshing type is put forward. The dual meshing silent chain mechanism is designed which comprises the dual meshing silent chain and new kind of sprockets with the modified involute tooth form. The key structural parameter cf the dual meshing link plate and the tooth form modified method of the sprocket are analyzed. The result shows that the key parameter about the internal tooth form projecting to the outer tooth form increases with the increase pitch and decreases with the increase tooth number. The dual meshing silent chain drive is proved to be workable though the investigation.
