摘要

The heat pipe grinding wheel is a new type of grinding tool, it uses the heat pipe in the grinding wheel to absorb the heat produced in the grinding zone and transfer it to the heat sink thus decrease the grinding temperature. In this paper, a three heat transfer model based on FEM was built. The effects of the processing parameters such as wall thickness, rotating speed and heat load on the grinding temperature were investigated and analyzed. The results show that, the heat pipe in the grinding wheel can improve the heat transfer of the grinding zone and decrease the grinding temperature greatly. Additional, smaller wall thickness or higher rotating speed can decrease the grinding temperature.
