Institutional Innovation on Housing Demolition for the Project-affected Persons

Based on the survey data, this paper analyzes the various factors affecting the satisfaction level of project-affected persons (PAPs) during the process of land requisition and resettlement. The results demonstrate that, besides the monetary compensation, non-monetary compensation such as opportunities of business, agricultural development, living conditions after demolition and environment of resettlement are all important factors. As a non-market compensation country, in order not to reduce the satisfaction level of PAPs, both monetary and non-monetary compensation should be attached great importance.
