摘要

The aim of this study was measure simultaneously the equivalent continuous noise of the macro environment (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - NICU) and of the microenvironment (baby incubator) with newly born inside. The data were collected at an academic hospital situated in the State of Parana, Brazil. It was used Quest 400, A weighted, to measure the micro environment. The software SpectraRTA, 1.3 version, was used to measure the macro environment. The equivalent continuous noise (L_(eq)) of the NICU it was 66.9dBA and the L_(eq) of the microenvironment was 66.1dBA. Both environments not attended to the requirements by Recommended Standards for Newborn ICU Design (45dBA) and American Academy of Pediatrics (45dBA).
