The system (10) has a portable measuring device (12) for measuring environmental parameters e.g. temperature, atmospheric moisture, light and ultraviolet radiations, which are relevant for living organisms. A storage device (14) stores description of the organisms together with values of environmental parameters, and a comparing device (16) compares the parameters, which are measured by the measuring device, with the parameters stored in the storage device. An output device (18) outputs information about acceptability of the environment for the organisms.
