摘要

Groundwater simulation-optimization models have found an important role in economical programs nowadays. Due to this necessity a management model with the economic objective of maximizing the net benefit from pumped freshwater volume is developed. This saltwater intrusion model is based on sharp interface assumption, namely the Strack model, reducing the problem to solving potential flow with a search in 2-D space for the saltwater toe location. In this model there are 3 sets of constraints which confine the range of discharges from pumping wells, length of saltwater invasion, and another constraint which is proposed to control the freshwater potential. An Elitism Genetic Algorithm (EGA) with both penalty and chromosomes repairing methods has been used and the results are high-lighted.
