Design and Implementation of a Parallel Thiessen Polygon Generator

摘要

To speed up the generation process of Thiessen Polygons from mass 2-D points, a parallel generator is designed and implemented. The generator efficiently parallelizes the Thiesen polygon generation procedure and achieves the same results as the non-parallel version does. Experimental results indicate the generator is able to speed up the generation procedure significantly. The generator could be applied to large-scale problems or problems with real time requirements.
