The Internet-based Virtual Knowledge Broking in China: Facts and Policy Implications

摘要

With the fast expansion of ICT infrastructure and rapid growth of numbers of Internet users, Virtual Knowledge Broking (VKB) becomes more and more popular in China. It is widely argued that the VKB creates job opportunities and enhances the innovation and collaboration capacity in China. However, the research discovered the China VKB mainly focuses on relatively low value-add, repetitive work, comparing to the counterpart models in the developed countries. Furthermore, policy implication and options are also discussed.
