Effects of Exogenous ABA and GA3 on Changes of Sugar Concentration in Peel of 'Cara cara' Navel Orange (Citrus.sinensis L.Osbeck)

The dynamic concentration of glucose,fructose and sucrose were determined after exogenous ABA and GA3 treatment during young period of fruit and before fruit coloring in peel of ‘Cara cara' navel orange (C.sinensis L.Osbeck).The results were as follows:ABA treatment of 10 and 50 mg·L-1 decreased glucose,fructose and total sugar concentration very significantly.ABA treatment of 100 mg·L-1 improved glucose concentration very significantly.ABA treatment of 10 and 100 mg·L-l decreased sucrose concentration very significantly at fruit maturation.Each GA3 treatment decreased glucose,fructose and total sugar concentration very significantly at fruit maturation and the treatment concentration had very significant negative correlation with glucose,fructose and total sugar concentration.Each GA3 treatment decreased sucrose concentration and sucrose concentration of 10 and 50 mg·L-1 GA3 treatment were lower than that of control very significantly.Therefore,ABA treatment of lower concentration restrained the accumulation of glucose,fructose and total sugar,and each GA3 treatment restrained the accumulation of glucose,fructose,sucrose and total sugar in peel of‘Cara cara' navel orange.
