摘要

There are mainly two kinds of zone division in an automated container port, vertical division under the principle of mixed stacking, and horizontal division according to the arrival time of containers. In this paper, we compare these two zone divisions' impact on container stacking through simulation. The results show that vertical division is more efficient when the number of containers is small, but the efficiency of horizontal division increases significantly when the number becomes larger.
