Six coal samples of Yanzhou mining area are oxidized by the sequence heating-up experiment. The oxygen consumption of different particle sizes of coal is determined at different temperature. The oxygen consumption rates of coal samples are calculated and analyzed at different temperature. Then the oxygen consumption rates are handled by the linear interpolation method. The relation of oxygen consumption rates and temperature are discussed. Finally, the oxygen consumption rates and particle size are handled by the dimensionless variable. The best-fitting curve of the relationship with dimensionless particle size and oxygen consumption rate is gained. It can provide some references to study the spontaneous combustion characteristics of coal.
