The Evaluation of Ecological Environment Situation of Hezuo City Based on Remote Sensing

On the basis of first hand investigation and combined with topography map and related data, and taking TM remote sensing image as the data source, and by using remote sensing technology and GIS technology, the article uses mutual visual explanation manner between operator and computer, the investigation of current biological condition of Hezuo City was carried out, The special topic maps of present situation utilization of land, vegetation coverage type and extent of soil erosion were made. The statistic result of the special topic map shows that among the utilization of land classifications, the housing land and other utilization of land area reached 112.13km2, occupies 6.78% of the total area, it increased a little bit as compared with the data of 2000a. No evident change was found for other land utilization type. Among the vegetation coverage area, 64.92 km2 was bare vegetation section, it occupies 3.81% of the total area of Hezuo City, it roughly keeps the same area of previous time. The soil erosion is mainly made by human activity, the eroded area occupies 1.6%. The ecological environment violent change sections were mainly concentrated in the town area of Hezuo City and ShangKaJia village area which was in the north west of Hezuo. The current vegetation extent of Hezuo was better the vegetation of Hezuo in 2000 year. Except artificial soil erosion, the trend for water erosion was decreasing in general. It shows that the returning farmland to grassland and forest policy of the state has produced initial result.
