摘要

Estimation of ICRU operational quantity Hp(0.07) has been carried out usingthermoluminescence dosemeter (TLD) system based on CaSO_4:Dy phosphor embedded disc for threedifferent beta sources. The dose evaluation algorithm developed previously was first used for itssuitability in terms of accuracy. Subsequently the old algorithm was modified to meet the accuracy limitas per IEC standard. The modified algorithm was tested for mixed fields of beta and gamma radiation.Angular response of the TLD badge system in terms of Hp(0.07) was also evaluated using the modifiedalgorithm It was found that using the modified algorithm it is possible to estimate Hp(0.07) within theaccuracy limit laid down by IEC for ~(90)Sr-~(90)Y and ~(85)Kr beta sources. However for 147Pm unless the designof the TLD badge is changed it is difficult to meet the accuracy limit of IEC.
