Literature results indicate that the way in which the polymer poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethylhexyloxy)- 1,4-phenylene vinylene] (MEH-PPV) interacts with common organic solvents varies, and as a result there are morphological differences between each film. The MEH-PPV films cast from these different solvents were studied using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to observe the possible correlation between morphology and thermal properties.
