High precision rotary tables are essential devices in instrument making; they are used for testing rotary transformers, synchros, gyrocompasses, accelerometers, and tiltmeters. Rotary tables may solve a wide range of problems: they perform settling and automatic measurement of angular positions, computation and storage of the measured results. Modern rotary tables usually contain an angular encoder and a servo motor.. Digital rotary table DRT-383 was designed in FSUE ?PO Korpus?. It includes an electromechanical part -rotary table RT-382 and an electronic control unit CU-226. The angular settling precision of the designed rotary table is ±1". The angular measurement accuracy is ±0.35". The digital rotary table provides horizontal and vertical rotation axis position. The digital rotary table has a high load ability (up to 500 N), it makes possible to test metrological instruments and various devices automatically, and its production is cost-effective.
