THE EFFECT OF PARTNER FIT ON THE ALLIANCE PERFORMANCE: THE PERSPECTIVE FROM RESOURCE-BASED VIEW AND TRANSACTION COST THEORY

This study takes advantage of resource-based and transaction cost theory to understandthe influencing paths of partner fit on alliance performance. The case study results point outthat the strategic fit between partners increases the translation and accumulation ofintellectual capital and then promotes the alliance performance. The organization fit betweenthe partners advances the effectiveness of governance and coordination, and then improvesthe alliance performance.
