The change of altitude, that is, the change of the atmospheric parameters, directly affects the characteristics of an explosive detonation. The change of the surrounding medium and the parameters of the detonation should have an effect on the parameters of the shock wave, however, there are few Chinese or foreign reports, especially the dynamic pressure impulse change. Based on the experimental data of a tank gun, the fitting relationship obtained by numerical simulation is used to quantitatively analyze the changes of the parameters of air shock wave at different altitudes. Research results show that the elevation of altitude caused the attenuation of the peak overpressure and the positive pressure impulse; furthermore the degree of attenuation is different, but the dynamic pressure impulse and the time of the positive pressure of the shock wave increased. This shows that the change of the dynamic pressure impulse should be paid attention.
