'Introduction of Technological Changes about Korean Drive-Recorders'

The Driving recorders are mostly used in private cars and taxies in Korea. There aretwo different types of Driving recorders are used. One is tachograph or tachometerwhich record information about vehicle speed, travel length and the number of breaksthe driver takes.EDR (Event Data Recorder) which collects the movement of car at the points ofaccident to analyze and reconstruct traffic accident to be used HVE and PC-CRASH.EDR is dying out without much response because of various issues such as high priceand hard to handle to get data.The low cost and technological development of digital cameras and computer harddisks has created a small and chief Driving Records which are widely used in privatecars and taxies. We will discuss about technological changes and current issues ofDriving Recorders in Korea.
