In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the preliminary question which must be set is how to measure it precisely. There are many factors which affect the amount of vehicle-produced emissions, including the kind or size of vehicle, driving speed, the grade of the road, etc. Vehicles break down into passenger's car, bus, truck, and so forth and this is further complicated by breakdown into manual or automatic drive and the kinds of fuels used. The amount of emissions varies depending on which one of these factors applies. This paper presents an estimation of CO_2 emissions as a result of TCS (Toll Collection System) deployment in Kyongbu expressway, a large-scale traffic network. Other important feature of this paper is disaaggregate spatial estimation and analysis of the emissions of motorway instead of aggregate national-wide estimations in road (including various road type). The presented model calculates CO_2 emissions for each vehicle type based on their speeds which is estimated using enter & exit time from TCS data set, for each section divided by IC (Inter Change).
