Duke Energy Corporation has developed an in-house, Microsoft Excel, VBA application, that allows the reactor engineer to make load follow and transient management recommendations to operators. This paper presents the methodology used to improve predictions of additions to the reactor coolant from a borated or demineralized water source by accounting for resin bed behavior.
