HOSPITAL FOUNDATIONS: COMPENSATION AND RESULTS BY U.S. REGION AND ASSOCIATED HOSPITAL SIZE

This paper analyzes net assets, contributions, revenue and expenses of non-profit hospitalfoundations. These financial figures are used to compare foundations that do and do notcompensate foundation workers. We find that financial success is greater for organizations thatreport paying compensation to staff, board, or fundraisers.
