FACTORS THAT AFFECT INBOUND TOURIST FLOWS TO INDONESIA

This paper tried to identify the main determinants of inbound tourist flows to Indonesia. Wedeveloped a tourism demand model to measure the influence of the identified factors on theinbound tourist flows to Indonesia. We applied several tests on the model to test theunbiasedness and consistency of the observed estimators. We found that besides income andprice, the number of tourist arrivals to other top Asia destination countries have a significantinfluence on the inbound tourist flows to Indonesia. We suggested some managerial implications.
