A THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVE ON DIVERSITY: INSTITUTIONAL INFLUENCES ON THE THREE LEADING INFORMATION SYSTEMS JOURNALS PUBLICATION

摘要

The current research evaluates the influences on research published in three top tiered journals inNorth America based on the information processing paradigm of diversity theory. It is shownthat around 79% of all first authors who publish in MIS Quarterly, Information SystemsResearch, and Journal of Management Information Systems worked at North Americaninstitutions at the time of publication. Further, 86% of all first authors received their terminaldegree from North American institutions.
