PREPARING TOMORROW’S GLOBAL DECISION MAKERS: A CASE FOR GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN BUSINESS CURRICULUM

摘要

The potential of geographic information systems for use in business applications has beenrecognized as key for organizations in developing and sustaining their competitive advantage,but its use has been very limited in scope. Using the results of a comprehensive survey ofAACSB accredited schools, this paper presents a case for the inclusion of geographicinformation systems (GIS) in schools of business curricula to better prepare students in aglobally oriented marketplace.
