摘要

Fuel ethanol measurement is the backbone of the alcohol industry which aims to identify the most efficient source to produce ethanol from different raw materials which are being used as conventionaloval sources on the basis of ethanol yield, nutrients used and cost of production. A suitable and new method for ethanol% measwementfrom the fermented liquid has been developed. In this method, excess of acetic anhydride was treated with fermented liquid. The unreated acetic anhydride is then found out by nutralising with a known volume of standard NaOH and then back titrated excess o/NaOH by means of standard hydrochloric acid. The fermented liquid (wine) of grape and deteriorated sugar were takenfor the measurement ofethanol% by this method in the present investigation.
