New types of planetary-worm gearing are proposed based on the toroidal drive.The internal stator of the toroidal drive is replaced by the cylindrical internal helical gear,or by helical gear whose crest distributed in an internal torus in the new gearing,with the central worm,planets and carrier unchanged.Based on coordinate transformation,the tooth meshing theory is discussed;the corresponding tooth surface equations are presented and their meshing conditions are simulated based on the computer algebra system.The result shows that the gearing which has the internal helical gear in the torus has a better contact state.
