Influence of computer-based validation of Franz diffusion cellon the variation in drug release from topical dosage forms

Computer-aided software, Design ofExperiment (DoE) was used to investigatethe factors causing variation in drugrelease from topical dosage forms usingFranz diffusion cells (FC). The use of DoEsignificantly reduced the number ofvalidation experiments. Furthermore, DoEreveals factor interactions, which is notpossible with the traditional one factor at atime (OFAT) approach.
