A panel of tumor cell lines have beenimmunologically investigated for the expression ofascorbate transporter SVCT2. Two gliomas, C6 andF98 cell lines, were found positive for SVCT2.Liposomes and PEG-based lipid-core micelles wereprepared containing 6-ascorbate-PEG-phospholipidas a targeting ligand. The prepared nanosystemsdisplayed targeting capacity towards SVCT2-expressing brain cancer cell lines.
